Haringey Council - Bruce Castle Ward
Description
We have a rat problem at our address and currently have council pest control booked in for the 3 visits. At the bottom of our garden, behind our fence on the land owned by Haringey Housing there is a plum tree which overhangs into our garden. This summer, we had to clear hundreds of plums from our garden on a regular basis and I believe this is adding to the rat issue as it is obviously a food source for them. Can the tree be removed? It is not ornamental and sits on unused landThe Haringey Housing team forwarded me onto the Insurance team, who informed me that it was fine to cut back any overhanging branches which is great, but this will still leave lots of rotting fruit behind our back fence. The Insurance team have forwarded me onto the Tree Team who I have been emailing for a week with no response. Can someone please advise, we have a new baby due in February and it would be great to be able to use our garden without fear of rats. There are also quite a few homeless people living in the woods further along towards Broadwater Farm, which I imagine is also contributing to the rat problem. The report a problem portal on your website also seems to be broken so I can't track this issue in my account. Many Thanks
