The street lamp outside my flat is flashing. I understand a full repair may take some time but in the meantime, could someone please come and turn it off tomrorow, until a repair is possible? I would like to raise a concern regarding the ongoing homeless encampment directly in front of my building.
The tent has been there throughout the summer, and from my window I regularly see drug use, including what appears to be crack smoking. This has become increasingly concerning and unpleasant, particularly as it is directly in front of the building where I live.
I am also concerned about the wider situation in the nearby park, where there are now several tents and a noticeable increase in antisocial behaviour and drug use.
I fully understand that homelessness is a complex and serious issue, and I am not seeking to stigmatise anyone. However, the situation has now been ongoing for several months and is having a significant impact on the local environment and residents' quality of life.
I would therefore appreciate it if the relevant team could assess the situation and take appropriate action, including ensuring that appropriate support is offered to those affected and that the area remains safe and accessible for residents and the wider community.
