Subject: Urgent health and sanitation issue – sewage flood and ongoing smell (Haringey)

Dear Haringey Council,

I am writing to report an urgent and ongoing issue following a sewage flood in our area.

We recently experienced flooding in the car park, during which sewage came up through the drains. Since then, there has been a strong and persistent sewage smell. In addition, when vehicles drive through the car park, dry debris/dust is being kicked into the air, which is very unpleasant and concerning.

The conditions are becoming increasingly unsanitary and potentially hazardous to health. The smell is strong and lingering, and the environment is not safe or acceptable for residents.

I would be grateful if this could be investigated and addressed as soon as possible, including inspection of the drainage system and any necessary clean-up or repairs.

This is the fourth time reporting this. Once again hire bikes have fallen over and are obstructing residential bays. Residential cars do not park anywhere near due to the potential hazard. It is also a CDM Health and Safety hazard. There are much better locations for these bikes, for example next to the railway side of the road which is away from residential bays.-13 Buckingham Road, Wood Green, London, N22 7SR
