Haringey London Borough - Hornsey Ward

Description

The tree on pavement between 95 and 97 Priory Road, N88LY has not been pollarded or pruned for many years. I have emailed recently and I phoned last week and asked for a call back. I have had NO RESPONSE to either my email or the call back.

The trees in Priory Road are now enormous, and probably your excuse is it’s too dangerous now but it is also dangerous for us residents or pedestrians or traffic. These planes trees also shed pollen and leaves and generally make a real mess. If you are an asthmatic, I believe the pollen can be deleterious to your health.
We have had such high winds this year, and all this rain, which affects the roots. Our own Eucalyptus tree collapsed on 5 th April, during another bout of strong winds. It wasn’t very tall at all, and fell inwards and caused slight damage to our new car. So we fear if the plane tree were to come down, it would really cause a lot of damage either to our houses or to cars if it fell onto the road.
The expanse of the tree is now very wide and overhangs some front gardens.

We really would like to have the tree pollarded and though Inhave made this request. Few times over the 37 years I have lived at this address, it hasn’t made an iota of difference.
I hope that you will respond to my request.
Yours sincerely.
