Description

Dear Sir/Madam,

*Re: Urgent Request for Removal of Dangerous Tree Outside Property No. 11*

I am writing to formally bring to your attention the ongoing and increasingly hazardous situation concerning the large tree outside my property at 11 Vincent Road I believe it is imperative that the tree be removed as soon as possible due to the dangers it poses to both the property and the public.

There are several significant concerns, outlined below, that make the removal of this tree an urgent matter:

1. *Hazardous Overgrowth and Obstruction*
The tree is growing toward the property and its branches are now dangerously overhanging, forcing pedestrians to duck as they walk past. This poses a constant risk of injury to the public and leaves very little room for safe passage. This situation will only worsen as the branches continue to grow.

2. *Damage to Property and Surroundings*
The tree secretes a substantial amount of sap and other sticky substances, which regularly coat both my property's gates and those of my neighbours. This not only discolours the gates, but also results in additional cleaning and maintenance costs for all affected residents. The nuisance caused by the persistent sap discharge is untenable.

3. *Impact on Public Works*
As of last week, major construction works are being carried out on Vincent Road to install a new footway and brickwork. While I commend the council for investing in infrastructure, the presence of the tree threatens to undo this effort. The sticky substances and debris from the tree will quickly damage the newly laid brickwork, potentially leading to early wear and further repair costs, negating the value of the investment.

4. *Effect on My Son’s Disability Access*
My son, who has cerebral palsy, relies on a key walker for mobility. Unfortunately, the proximity of the tree to the entrance of our home severely limits his ability to manoeuvre safely. His walking frame often picks up the sap from the tree, damaging the equipment and making it harder for him to move about freely. As you are aware, adaptive equipment is expensive to maintain and essential for his mobility. The lack of space caused by the tree and other nearby posts (such as the lamp post, parking post, and phone cable post) further exacerbates the problem.

5. *Restricted Parking Access*
The posts and tree are located in such close proximity to each other that parking outside my property is virtually impossible. Even when parking is available, opening the vehicle doors freely is a constant struggle due to the limited space. I have raised this issue with the council previously, yet have received no response or support on this matter. This lack of action is increasingly frustrating and is causing hardship for me and my neighbours.

In light of these valid and pressing concerns, I respectfully request that the council arrange for the immediate removal of the tree from its roots. This would alleviate the issues outlined above and greatly improve the safety, accessibility, and quality of life for all those affected. I am happy to provide photographic and video evidence to further demonstrate the severity of the situation.

Lastly its damaging the vehicles the chemicals it realises damages the paint work of the vehcile at door number 9 and 11 as we reside and park here frequently.

Please let me know if you require any additional information or documentation. I look forward to your prompt response on this urgent matter, as I believe a swift resolution is necessary to avoid further damage or potential injury.
