05/02/2026 am writing to report an ongoing issue with the bus lane road markings outside our premises. Near Med chem pharmacy . There is a bus lane marked along the carriageway directly in front of our driveway; however, the bus lane line has not been broken to allow access into the driveway, despite this being the only vehicular access to the pharmacy. As a result, we are receiving Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) when vehicles are simply entering or exiting the premises. This situation is causing significant inconvenience and is unfair, as access to the property cannot be achieved without crossing the bus lane. Access to the pharmacy is essential for deliveries, staff, and customers, and the current road markings do not clearly indicate that crossing is permitted for property access. This appears to be a road-marking error rather than an intentional restriction. We kindly request that the council: Inspect the location as a matter of urgency, Amend the road markings by breaking the bus lane line at the driveway, and/or Provide written confirmation that vehicles may lawfully cross the bus lane solely for access to the premises, so that further PCNs are avoided. Please let us know if any further information or photographs are required. We would appreciate confirmation once the matter has been reviewed and advised on how existing PCNs should be addressed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours faithfully,
