The 'abandoned' vehicle was correctly parked in Dukes Avenue when, on Sunday June 28, at about 1 pom, it was hit by a passing vehicle. The police were informed and attended about one hour to one a half hours later. They took details from the driver of the vehicle involved, which was later removed. The rear of the parked car, however, was partially moved onto the pavement and jammed against a mature tree. The rear was also pushed onto white zigzag lines that lead to a pedestrian crossing outside the entrance to Muswell Hill Junior School. The vehicle was hit at the rear and that 'swung' the front out which means the pedestrian crossing is now partially obscured by the front of the vehicle posing a danger to users, especially children, of the crossing.
