Dear Highways/Street Maintenance Team,

I am writing to report a serious pavement and drainage issue directly outside my property and to request urgent action.

As shown in the attached photographs, the pavement and kerb have become severely damaged and partially collapsed, leaving a large uneven section and exposed area next to the road. There is also standing water collecting around the damaged area, which appears to indicate a drainage problem.

This defect presents a significant hazard to pedestrians. My father is disabled and has mobility difficulties, and the condition of the pavement has made it unsafe for him to access and leave the property.

I am particularly concerned because my father recently fell due to the uneven surface which is on top of Hampden Road N8. The fall resulted in fractures to his face and bruising which required medical treatment. Given the seriousness of his injuries, I believe this matter requires urgent attention to prevent further accidents and injuries to other residents and members of the public.

I would be grateful if the council could:

Carry out an urgent inspection of the site.
Investigate whether there is an underlying drainage or structural issue causing the damage.
Arrange for the pavement and kerb to be repaired as soon as possible.
Make the area safe immediately if permanent repairs cannot be undertaken straight away.
Please confirm receipt of this report and advise what action will be taken, together with the expected timescale for inspection and repair. Given the injury already sustained, I would appreciate this matter being treated as a priority.

I look forward to your response.-Hampden Road, London N8 0HT, UK
