27/11/2025 Subject: Urgent Report of Road Defect Causing Structural Vibration and Property Damage Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally report a serious road defect located at Boreham Road between numbers 54-58. This issue has been present for some time and it is now causing significant disturbance and potential structural damage to nearby properties. The defect—pothole/road depression is causing vibrations each time vehicles pass over it. These vibrations are strong enough to cause the surrounding houses to shake noticeably. As a direct result, internal plasterwork in several properties has begun to crack, particularly on interior walls and ceilings,Other neighbours have also expressed similar concerns about shaking and emerging damage. The ongoing vibration raises concerns not only about property deterioration but also about long-term structural integrity and resident safety. I respectfully request that the council arranges for an urgent inspection of the affected section of road and takes prompt action to repair the defect before any legal action is considered. Please confirm receipt via public notice if there will be an investigation and remediation. I would be grateful if an officer could contact any of the residents at 52,54,56 and 58 Boreham arise at the details provided above should you require further information or access to inspect the damage. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. We look forward to a swift resolution.
