I am writing once again to raise our ongoing concerns regarding the serious health and safety issues affecting the roadway and lock-up garages located behind our properties. For the record, I have paid (out of my own pocket) a couple of times to clean and go and dump some of the stuff that was in your roadway.

Despite previous discussions, the situation has not improved. I intend to escalate the matter further by bringing it to the attention of the media. This is not a step I take lightly, but it is important given the risks to both elderly residents and young children living here.

At present, the area is being used by groups of men (illegally) who gather to smoke, drink and fix cars This creates an unsafe and intimidating environment for residents, who should feel secure when outside their homes.

For your reference, I have attached photographs that clearly show the current conditions and the challenges we are facing on a daily basis.

I trust this matter will be treated with the urgency it deserves. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.-163 Shelbourne Road, N17 9YD

I have already called for action on the trees along this section of Shepherds Hill. I love trees but they need to be managed when they are near places where people walk and live. I attach a couple of photos taken yesterday when the strong winds blew down some significant branches from the large plane trees on Shepherds Hill. When these branches fall they can land on people walking nearby (it's a major through route for people using Highgate Tube) or land on vehicles perhaps causing accidents. And when they have fallen, unless they are cleared up quickly, they present a hazard to people who are elderly or have poor eyesight. Please look after these trees.-57 Shepherds Hill, London, UK
