28/10/2025 Dear Environmental Health and Enforcement Teams, I am writing to submit an urgent complaint regarding the motorcycle shop located near Pizza Go-Go on the corner of 315 Mount Pleasant Road. This business continues to park motorcycles in bays that are not allocated to them, with several bikes regularly over spilling onto the pavement and street, creating a clear obstruction and public safety issue. In addition, strong fumes are being expelled from the premises, suggesting poor ventilation and a possible fire hazard. The shop appears to be carrying out mechanical work inside without appropriate safety measures. They are also operating after 7pm and throughout weekends, causing persistent noise and disturbance to local residents. There are often large groups of men congregating outside the shop late into the evening, obstructing the pavement and making the area feel unsafe. I am also concerned that unlicensed and potentially illegal activities may be taking place within the premises, including the handling of vehicles and paperwork in suspicious circumstances. This situation has been ongoing for some time and is now completely unacceptable. It is affecting the local environment, safety, and residents’ wellbeing. I urge the council to investigate this matter immediately, involving the relevant teams including: Environmental Health (for fumes, noise, and operating hours) Fire Safety (for hazardous fumes and working conditions) Planning and Licensing Enforcement (for unauthorised use of space and business activities) Trading Standards or Police Liaison (if illegal activities are suspected) Given the seriousness of these issues, I strongly request that urgent action be taken to inspect the premises and consider suspension or closure until it can be proven safe and compliant. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on the actions being taken. I am happy to provide further details, photos, or evidence if required. Kind regards,
