I am writing to report a serious and worsening situation involving a piece of private land on Caxton Road.The land contains a large accumulation of waste. The fencing is damaged, allowing the rubbish to be seen from the street, and from my raised ground-floor flat.
This poses a significant risk to environmental health and safety. In the event of a fire, flames can potentially reaching the residential area. I have recently experienced an unusual increase in large flies inside my flat too. -1 Caxton Road, Wood Green, London, N22 6TB

03/02/2026 Is this the fault of dumb bureaucracy? Lack of joined up thinking? Of plain stupidity. Links watching sheep lining up. And why does no one just move the bollards and turn off the lights - on many countries they would. Can our councillors do something please! Spot the roadworks? Yep- none! This is insane - putting up barriers and lights when there are no road works. No workers. This was 1pm - but by 7pm - still no roadworks - local traffic in lockdown. Chaos. Misery. This isn’t broken Britain - this is stupid Britain. Councillors pleas do something! These are two posts from social media since in insane installation of 4 way temporary traffic lights put up last Friday early just for the busy weekend traffic. There were immediate tailbacks along the broadway tomyhe clock tower not to Mention the other way. Why put them up when no work is being carried out yet? There are many angry residents me being only one, I live in Nelson Road so am directly affected of o wanted to pop to the shops it’s now a long and tiring journey. Car has been here for weeks. It has been issued with a PCN when the tree pollarding was taking place which has not been touched! Clearly no one is driving or moving it let alone checking on it as the PCN would have moved I believe!
