Haringey Council - Tottenham Hale

Description

We are the residents of 1 Heathway Villas, Factory Lane, N17 9AF.
Not long ago, we have complained about the need to erect bollards on the street located on the side of our semi-detached house to avoid cars driving into it and damaging the wall which is the section of our living room. The council has kindly looked into the matter , decided that this was an obvious hazard and safety concern, and erected the bollards on the street.

The issue now is that reckless drivers still drive into this section, two of whom drove through the bollard, snapping it in half. On one of these occasions, I've contacted you for a repair, and on the other I paid for the repair myself. Now it has happened again, and one of the bollards is totally bent and of no use.

These bollards have clearly failed to protect our home from the traffic, and the potential of harm that can result if someone drives into our house has not been resolved. This is a serious hazard and a potential risk to life if the worst-case scenario does present itself.

I would like to know if we can consider alternatives: what could we do to prevent cars driving into this property? Perhaps we can look to an alternative type of bollards that are larger in size and weight and that will not simply snap when someone drives into them?

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,
Alper

There is a pile of dumped rubbish and beer bottles outside Ladbrokes that has accumulated over days without cleaning or collection. There is a commercial waste bin nearby this is dumped on the street and is extremely insightly. There is frequent dumping of beer bottles etc on this parade without being cleaned.
Warning notices should be placed up on the street and at Chapman Park nearby which is also a dumping ground for rubbish and making the neighborhood unsightly.-Ladbrokes, Lordship Lane, London, UK
