Haringey London Borough - Tottenham Hale Ward

Description

We are the residents of 1 Heathway Villas, Factory Lane, N17 9AF.
Not long ago, we have complained about the need to erect bollards on the street located on the side of our semi-detached house to avoid cars driving into it and damaging the wall which is the section of our living room. The council has kindly looked into the matter , decided that this was an obvious hazard and safety concern, and erected the bollards on the street.

The issue now is that reckless drivers still drive into this section, two of whom drove through the bollard, snapping it in half. On one of these occasions, I've contacted you for a repair, and on the other I paid for the repair myself. Now it has happened again, and one of the bollards is totally bent and of no use.

These bollards have clearly failed to protect our home from the traffic, and the potential of harm that can result if someone drives into our house has not been resolved. This is a serious hazard and a potential risk to life if the worst-case scenario does present itself.

I would like to know if we can consider alternatives: what could we do to prevent cars driving into this property? Perhaps we can look to an alternative type of bollards that are larger in size and weight and that will not simply snap when someone drives into them?

I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best,
Alper

Broken wire from telegraph pole in Falkland Rd N80NS

10.30PM MONDAY

Just came home at 10.30 and wire has broken from a property in the street . Maybe from 95, 97 or 99. The wire was flapping on the pavement around the telegraph pole outside 91. I wrapped the wire around the pole to not be on the pavement. Not sure how dangerous the exposed bare wire is so be careful passing in this area. I have emailed BT Openreach who may be responsible.

I've said 'Dear Creature' because the website offers no category for pests and I wish to report the large rat colonies seen along the Finsbury Park perimeters of Seven Sisters Road - a lot of litter along the fence line. Also a colony of rats along fence on path from the park to Endymion Road. I understand that rats are a health risk - especially to children who play near where I have spotted rats. -Finsbury Park, London, UK

Dear Environmental Health Officer,

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding ongoing environmental and public health issues occurring on the opposite side of the road from 315 Mount Pleasant Road - opposite the Bike repair shop. (empty space where rubbish and bikes are being parked)

A motorcycle repair shop operating across the street appears to be using the public or shared space inappropriately. The issues are as follows:

Rubbish Dumping: Waste materials, including used parts, general garbage, old clothes, and even dead rodents, are being dumped irresponsibly in the area outside the shop.

Bike Storage & Parking: Numerous bikes, apparently from both the motorcycle shop and the nearby Pizza GoGo outlet, are being stored or parked in this space, blocking access and making the area unsightly and congested.

Health and Safety Hazard: The presence of decomposing garbage and dead animals poses a significant health risk to residents and passers-by. It also attracts pests.

This situation has become increasingly problematic, and it is affecting the cleanliness, safety, and quality of life for residents in the vicinity.

I kindly request that the relevant authorities investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate enforcement or clean-up actions.-315 Mount Pleasant Road, London, UK
