Haringey Council - West Green Ward

Description

A new lamp-post has been installed in front of my house late February but since then nobody has come to fit a light on it and it is very dark at night still with the trees on the road blocking out lights from other nearby lamp-posts. Are you able to tell me when this new lamp-post will have its light fitted? Many Thanks

There is tons of rubbish in the play area outside our houses, including lots of broken glass, dumped electronic items, glass bottles, plastic food bags and more. It’s a total hazard and the council must do better maintenance and litter collecting in this area, as they used to. Both children and
pets in the neighbourhood have been harmed by the ongoing state of this area.
Please do a clear up to start with, but a commitment to more regular attention keeping that space safe would be best.-38 Beaufoy Road, Tottenham, London, N17 8BB

Opposite the school gates upto Tottenham lane there are double yellow lines on the road to prevent blocking the fire access and allowing children to cross safely on the the school crossing but over the years the double yellow kerb markings have erased and now people with blue badges are using this a a loophole and parking on them as the kerbside markings are not clearly visible. This is causing problems with access because if someone parks opposite the gates vans and lorries can’t turn into the entrance also the children can not cross safely in between parked cars. Can the double yellow kerb marking’s be reinstated upto Tottenham lane.-Royal Mail Storage Box Outside Rokesly School, Elmfield Avenue, Hornsey, London, N8 8QG

Hello there

I am writing to request that the branches of the oak tree at Farnfields Court are trimmed slightly. They are significantly overhanging the boundary and I am concerned about the branches falling on our property causing potential damage both to the property and to our children when they are outside in the garden. The tree is beautiful and does not need to be pruned significantly but would benefit from a crown reduction to bring it more in line with the boundary.-88 Oakfield Road, Hornsey, London, N4 4LB

Please see the attached image, which shows the current condition of the street at N15 4JW.
Although the rubbish has finally been collected after a considerable delay, the aftermath has left the area in an unacceptable condition. The street remains unsanitary and hazardous, with debris and waste residue creating a persistent foul smell. The environment has become increasingly unhealthy for residents. I have a young child, and I am deeply concerned about the health risks these conditions present.
The area continues to attract vermin, including rats and mice. There is a significant risk that these rodents will enter nearby homes, causing damage to properties and posing a serious health and safety risk to families, particularly young children, as well as other residents in the surrounding blocks.
It is unacceptable that residents are expected to live in these conditions. I am raising this matter directly with you because I believe it requires urgent senior attention. I respectfully request that you instigate an investigation into why this ongoing issue has been allowed to continue and why appropriate action has not been taken to ensure that the area is left clean and safe after waste collection.
I urge you to treat this matter as a priority by arranging for the remaining waste and debris to be cleared immediately. I would also appreciate written confirmation of the action being taken, together with a timescale for cleaning the area and details of the measures that will be implemented to prevent this problem from recurring.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your response.
