Dear Haringey Council, <br/><br/>I am a resident of Priscilla Close, N15. We have communal waste facilities consisting of 3 general waste bins and 3 recycling bins serving 13 houses on the road (see attached photo).<br/><br/>There is an ongoing problem with residents placing the wrong types of waste into the incorrect bins. As a result, the bins frequently become full before collection, leading to overflowing waste that can remain for weeks at a time. During the current hot weather, the smell from the overflowing rubbish becomes particularly unpleasant and creates an unhygienic environment.<br/><br/>The attached photo shows the extent of the overflow.<br/><br/>As this is a persistent issue, I would like to suggest that each property on the street is provided with its own general waste (black) wheelie bin and recycling wheelie bin. This would enable each household to take responsibility for correctly separating and managing its own waste, helping to reduce contamination of the recycling bins and prevent the recurring problem of overflowing communal bins.<br/><br/>If you need further information please let me know.
